Sitting on an amazing tree
Cool breeze cuts through clothes
Sun peaks through branches
Encompasses leg
    -gives me warmth

Sun embraces my journey
Instincts say leave
But the tree possesses me
Such beautiful spirit
    -disobeying gravity

Scars where limbs once stood
Pain and grief of losing part of you
Yet it perseveres
Thanking the sun for its warmth
    breeze which cleanses it
    earth for keeping it strong
    life for its nutrients

Lessons instilled by nature
Hundreds of years, standing tall
Rapturous  influence
For the air we breathe,
beauty they show mindfulness

I sit on an amazing tree
